I'm raising money for the
The Northern Force
fundraiser led by
I am a sophomore at Falmouth High School, in Falmouth Maine. I am involved in STEM and Robotics because I am interested in furthering my education in science and technology. Falmouth has partnered up with the nearby town of Gorham. Together we have over 50 interested students, and incredible mentors. We are a spirited team, ecstatic to work with one another, and excited to learn!
What I'm Raising Money For
Our team competes in the First Robotic Competition program. Every year we are given a challenge, this year was to shoot Frisbees. During the Granite State Regional, my team the Northern Force, placed second overall. But the Engineering inspiration award, is sending us to the championships in St. Louis. Due to our size the cost the of sending this team from Maine to St. Louis is immense.
Why You Should Give
Robotics is a great way to get people interested in Science and Technology. When I joined, I thought it would be a group of nerdy boys. Due to the encouragement from my teacher, I joined. In one year of robotics I learned more about mechanical engineering, programming, and designing then any other opportunity. By going to the championships, students will become more in enthusiastic about STEM.
