We're raising money for the
America's Hiking Trails
fundraiser led by
American Hiking's volunteers.
Silver Spring, MD
American Hiking Society promotes and protects foot trails, their surrounding natural areas, and the hiking experience. Foot trails and hiking are essential to connect people with nature, conserve open space, provide biological corridors for diverse plants and wildlife, and for the health of Americans and our natural environment. You can help us through fundraising!
Our Volunteer Vacations program is a series of trail building projects on America’s public lands. The program fosters public land stewardship and provides volunteers the opportunity to give back to the trails they love, meet new people, and have a great time doing it!
What I'm Raising Money For
Money raised will help the Volunteer Vacations program increase the number of trail miles maintained in 2017, increase access to trails and public land for individuals and families, and provide the opportunity for more volunteers to give back to nature!
Why You Should Give
In 2016, the Volunteer Vacations program worked with more than 550 volunteers for 22,080 hours on hiking trails- contributing more than $520,204 in sweat equity to America's public lands.
